What better day to make a comeback to my blog than the day our country got a fresh start, Independence Day.
Last week, nearing the end of my family’s week at the shore in New Jersey, we visited Cape May and the Washington Street Mall in particular. They had the basic shops, but my real point in mentioning it was the ‘experiment’ we held that afternoon. Much like what you would find on Posing With Friends, a website where people take pictures next to tourists taking pictures, but with slight modifications. I had my brother, Liam, and his friend, Jack, sit next to unknowing tourists and shoppers in the same position as them, and try not to let the innocent people in these photos find out what we were actually doing. It worked, and we never raised any eyebrows.
Here we go…
I am going to make it a goal to keep the blogging up, much like it was until last fall.
Enjoy the day of our Nation’s Birth, and you will hear from me again, very soon.
For the past two weeks, I have compiled a selection of my best photos taken in 2012. You may wonder what makes then the best. Well, many of them were selected by you! The readers of my blog. The most viewed blog posts contained many of my favorites, which means there is a relation between views and incredible photographs.
There are twelve photos, which came out of a collection of over 3,000. If that doesn’t sum up 2012 as a photographic year, nothing does!
They are numbered, so keep that in mind when I speak about voting below.
Here they are:
Think about which of the photos is the best in your mind, even go back and look through them again, as your decision is important to me. Once you have decided which of the numbered photos you like the most, you can do a number of things to vote. You can vote anonymously in the poll below, leave a comment on this blog post, also below, or you can send an email with your selection to email@example.com
Today, as you can see, the blog is under renovations.
I will be getting caught up with what I have missed over the past few days because of some saddening events in my family.
In the mean time, you can enjoy the annual blog report put out by WordPress.com
Here’s an excerpt:
600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 2,300 unique viwers in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 4 years to get that many views.
I feel very bad that I did not yet introduce the 12 Photos of 2012 Poll, due to some technical difficulties, however, as promised, the site will be back to it’s original reliability, with a Photo of the Week every week, starting December 29, 2012.
Here we go, although it’s been said, many times, many ways, Merry Christmas to you!
With the weekend in front of me, I decided it would be a good time to update my original website, and even make some changes here! To start, I was wondering what day would be best for the Photo of the Week.
Please take a moment out of your Internet viewing time to vote in this poll!
We are sitting at the “Osteria dei Pontefici” which is close to the Vatican. They have free wi-fi and my pizza is on the way. So far, we have visited the Colloseum, Circus Maximus, The Trevi Fountain, the Roman Forum, and more! I am typing this from my brother’s iPod, and he wants to play Words with Friends with his buddies back in New York. I will post pictures and an update on everything that we gave done so far later this afternoon from the ship.
